Many web designers create portfolios to show off their work to potential clients. One of the ways they do this is by creating PDF files of their design to carry with them on a usb…
Usually you would have to have a separate program like installed on your machine to convert the web design to a PDF file.
Another way is by taking a screenshot of the web design to create a JPEG and then importing the image into your file.
While surfing the internet I came across a very useful web site that makes creating PDF’s of your designs a lot easier. This website is PDFMyURL.com. PdfMyURL is a free online tool that converts any URL you enter into a downloadable PDF file.
Just enter your URL (into the URL area) and click the “P” and in roughly 10 seconds, the site creates your PDF and offers the dialog box for you to save it.
The only downside is that you cannot add multiple web designs into a single PDF. But other then that, this tool can come in handy when you need to create a quick PDF file of your work.
I am sure there are other uses for this service but for web designers on the go and don’t have access to the tools on their machines, this comes in handy.
